Math/CS Computer Laboratory (also known as the Linux Lab), room 1207 in the New Science Facility, is primarily used by computer science students and faculty as an academic area for study and lab work. Most of the lab's space is consumed by Unix System Administration (CS 302) workstations. Other areas in the lab include areas for working on robotics (extended from activities of the NERL), systems such as the Virtual NMU workstation, the occasional experimental workstation for various purposes, and the ACM table.

Activities housed in lab include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • CS 302: Unix System Administration
  • ACM meetings and events (Fall 2008 Semester: Tentatively Fridays at 5 PM)
  • Unix User Group meetings (Fall 2008 Semester: Tentatively Fridays at 6 PM)
  • CS Tutoring (No hours during Summer Sessions; Fall 2008 hours will be announced when the semester begins.)
